A modeling scout linked to Epstein was found dead in a Paris suburb

A modeling scout who was linked to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has been found dead in his home.

The Nanterre prosecutor’s office confirmed to the BBC that 69-year-old Daniel Siad was found in Columbus, northwest of Paris, on Monday.

“An investigation has been opened to determine the cause of death following his discovery on Monday evening,” the office said, adding that an autopsy will be conducted.

Siad’s name appears thousands of times in the Epstein files released by the US government. Epstein previously said he knew nothing about the threat.

Epstein’s victim Anya – not her real name – previously told the BBC that Syed had introduced her to Epstein.

Before the BBC investigation was published on July 18, Syed’s lawyer said he was not ready to comment, but said he was already aware of Epstein’s concerns.
