Describing the man as a “reluctant historian,” the doctors said he finally agreed to use the massage gun directly and around both eyes every week for three months to help with his eye fatigue. They said they had no history of mental illness or substance abuse.

Although his decision to put a gun in his eye was highly questionable, he showed good judgment afterwards, saving his eyes, his doctors concluded. They wrote: “It appears that this positive outcome was due to the fact that the patient spoke quickly as soon as he was diagnosed with his symptoms and received prompt treatment.”
