A Love Island contestant has reportedly left the show due to a stabbing | Love Island

A Love Island The contestant is said to have left the show in connection with the London stabbing.

Gabriel Garland, 24, was removed from the team ITV2 lovers after being briefly in the segment on Sunday night as a child of the house of Casa Amor.

“Gabriel has now left the villa and will not be returning,” an ITV spokesperson told the Guardian. It is understood that the broadcaster will not be able to respond further due to the responsibility of taking care of the participants.

Garland is said to have been removed from the list after producers discovered that he was named in court documents at the sentencing of Vitor Mazzer, who was found guilty of two counts of grievous bodily harm with intent in the New Year’s 2019 incident in the southeast. London.

Court documents say Garland got into an argument with people who were stabbed by Mazzer. Garland’s mother passed the word on to her son, who was 17 at the time.

He was not charged with any crime and the court found no wrongdoing against him. This may explain why it didn’t come up in the ITV retrospective.

Mazzer served 42 months in prison and his appeal against the conviction was rejected in April 2024.

Garland was in Sunday night’s episode of Love Island as one of the six contestants of Casa Amor. Without an introduction, he has not appeared in any major shows and has been removed from the rest of the series.

The news that Garland will be in the Love Island house has caused media users to question ITV’s actions.

The film is produced by Lifted Entertainment, a division of ITV Studios, and WPP Media Motion Entertainment.

On 4 June, George Knight left the show due to “special reasons” regarding the health of a family member.

Two Love Island USA contestants have also left this year’s series, which is produced by ITV America. Alannah Keyser was fired last week after a long history of social media appears to show him using profanity. One video showed her seemingly matching the N-word in a song, while other photos showed her appearing to use the same word in an Instagram comment and Snap message.

The notes were from a private account and were not made public until Keyser entered the house, and therefore were not mentioned during the trial. After coming out, Keyser apologized in a TikTok video.

Vasana Montgomery was also removed from the list after she was seen using the N-word in two different videos that were circulated online. Montgomery later apologized in an Instagram post.
