Argentina have received a major morale boost ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup round of 32 clash with Cape Verde after defender Cristian Romero was fit for the upcoming match.
According to data confirmed by network sources ESPN: The Tottenham Hotspur defender took part in Argentina’s national team training session in Kansas City yesterday, Wednesday, with the rest of his team-mates, making him a strong candidate to start against Cape Verde on Saturday morning.
Romero, 28, missed Argentina’s 3-1 win over Jordan in the final group stage after picking up a knee injury against Austria, which ended in a 2-0 victory for the tango dancers on June 22.
