Barcelona are keen to sign rising talent to bolster their first-team ranks in the near future, according to Spanish media on Sunday.
“AS” newspaper reported that in 2013 Barcelonaare working on building the core of a top-class team and have already confirmed the signing of Englishman Anthony Gordon (25), but the club is not overlooking young talents who can strengthen the youth football program at the Blaugrana.
He explained that Barcelona are very interested in Gael Sekho, who is just 14 years old from Deportivo La Coruña and is considered one of the most promising players in Galicia’s youth academy.
Gael Sejo is a Spain Under-14 footballer who plays well as a defensive anchor and defender.
Reports suggest that his excellent performances have attracted the attention of Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, but the publication suggests that Sekho will join Barcelona next season.
It is important to remember that Barcelona have secured the future of many young players who will move to the youth team and this shows that the La Masia academy continues to work to ensure a continuous flow of players to the first team in the coming years.
