A devastating blow to the Royal Army before the Battle of Sun Downs

The Royal Moroccan Army team will resume training today, Tuesday, in preparation for their match against South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns in the first leg of the African Champions League final, scheduled for next Sunday.

The Moroccan team will play the decisive match without its Senegalese defender Valo Mendy, who has been confirmed to have suffered a muscle tear in his left thigh, as shown by the medical examinations of the football player in the last hours.

The Royal Army delegation is expected to fly to Johannesburg next Thursday on a private jet before traveling to Pretoria for the first leg and the second leg in Rabat next week.

Royal Army are looking for a positive result away from home that would pave the way for their second ever continental title since their first in 1985.
