The Dutch giant is rebuilding itself
Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam are making signing the Barcelona player a top priority for next summer’s Mercato, according to a Catalan press release, as part of a plan to rebuild the team and restore its position among the leaders of European football.
According to the newspaper “Sports”The name of the German goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen was raised in the corridors of “Ajax” weeks ago, but the completion of the deal is still complicated.

While all parties agree on the ultimate goal, the disagreement is over the financial aspects, given Ajax and Ter Stegen’s desire to settle the deal in the next week so the German goalkeeper can train with the squad.
Ter Stegen gave the Dutch club final approval after being convinced of the project, both athletically and personally, but the hurdle remains in agreeing financial terms with Barcelona.

Discussions are still ongoing over additional incentives as Barcelona look to recoup some of their costs through clauses linked to the goalkeeper’s caps and the Dutch side’s ability to win titles other than Champions League qualification.
