Large crowds are gathering in Tehran for a second day to mourn Khamenei’s death, with chants calling for revenge against the US and Israel.

The three children of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei have not been seen in public the second day of his funeralbut there has been no sign of his successor and son, Mojtaba Khamenei.

Iranian state television showed Mostafa, Meysam and Masoud Khamenei praying behind caskets in the courtyard of the Imam ⁠Khomeini Grand Mosalla, Tehran’s largest religious complex.

Mostafa Khoshcheshm, a professor at the University of Applied Science and Technology in Tehran, says the message from Iranians who attended the funeral of the great leader is mixed.

“I believe the message is clear: The Iranian people will not be fooled by negotiations or some kind of (information agreement). They are awake. They know that the United States and Israel’s hostility has not ended,” Khoshcheshm told Al Jazeera.
