Zelenskyy issues a warning before the Russian attack

The attack in Kyiv came just hours after Zelenskyy warned of a “massive Russian attack” and urged Ukrainians to take cover.

“Today, we have information about another serious Russian threat; we have important information,” Zelenskyy said at a press conference in Dublin with Ireland’s Taoiseach Micheal Martin on Wednesday.

Writing on X, Zelenskyy said: “As soon as I finish the negotiations, I will return to Ukraine”.

He asked citizens to “be very careful” and “be safe and protect your families and children” by listening to flight alerts.

“We know that (Russian President Vladimir) Putin has been planning to fight for Ukraine for some time. This is what we are facing tonight,” he added.

Zelenskyy also criticized Russia for “refusing to end the war” it started in February 2022, although Ukraine tried through “all official and unofficial means” to explain the preparation of “reasonable meetings and discussions”.

Putin “sees increasing violence against Ukraine and other neighbors and all of Europe,” Zelenskyy said.
