2026 Wimbledon results: Jannik Sinner beats Novak Djokovic to set up Alexander Zverev final.

Defending champion Janic Sinner produced a devastating performance to end Novak Djokovic’s latest bid to win an independent 25th Grand Slam title and set up a Wimbledon final against Alexander Zverev.

Just as he did at this stage last year, Cinner showed the power and precision to deny Djokovic in his bid to equal Roger Federer’s record eight men’s singles titles at the All England Club.

Sinner didn’t serve a break point until midway through the third set, but Djokovic, 39, dismissed his only chance with an ace to win 6-4 6-4 6-4.

The world number one – the first Italian player to reach multiple Wimbledon men’s singles finals – duly sealed the win to love before holding Djokovic at the net.

The 99th Grand Slam match was won by the four-time major winner Ciner, who will face Zverev in his seventh final since the French Open. Arthur Ferry’s fantastic run as a British wild card has ended..

“It’s a special tournament that we’re in. It means a lot to me to play in another final here,” Sinner said.

“Obviously playing with Novak, he’s a huge inspiration – not just for you, but for the new generation – what he’s still doing is amazing, unbelievable.

“We always have very, very tough matches. I am very happy with this performance.”

As Djokovic cheered loudly as he walked off the court, Margaret’s wait to cross the court and claim sole possession of the all-time record for most Grand Slam singles wins continued.
