2026 NLL Playoff Semifinals Preview: Key Players, Stats

2026 National Lacrosse League The playoffs continue this weekend, after causing plenty of upsets in the quarterfinal round — and there’s no shortage of controversy.

The top-seeded Vancouver Warriors were knocked out by the No. 8 Halifax Thunderbirds after an epic comeback, while the three-time defending champion Buffalo Bandits were defeated by the Georgia Storm. The No. 6 Toronto Rock upset the No. 3 Saskatchewan Rush, and the No. 7 San Diego Seals topped the No. 2 Colorado Mammoths thanks to an overtime goal by Trey LeClair that should have been allowed:

“After a league review, the league has concluded that LeClair violated Rules 67.3 and 17.81 by being the first player to receive a pass after leaving the crease; i.e., the goal should have been disallowed and possession should have been awarded to Colorado,” NLL Commissioner Brett Froude said in a statement released to the media.

The Seals advance, but by policy, the on-floor officials for that game will not be assigned to any additional games this postseason.

With the Nos. 1, 2 and 3 seeds eliminated, here’s the full schedule of semifinal matchups, along with key stats and players to know for the best-of-three series.
