Team Scotland have named their full swimming squad for this summer’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
In addition to pre-selected Duncan Scott and Angharad Evans, three other 2024 Olympians have been named – Katie Shanahan, Keana McInnes and Lucy Hope.
Shanahan won two bronze medals in the pool at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, while Evan Jones won bronze twice in Birmingham.
Archie Goodburn – who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in 2024 – won gold in the 100m breaststroke at the Scottish Swimming Championships last year and is part of the 25-strong team.
The swimming and para-swimming events of the Games will be held from July 24 to 29 at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre.
“I am absolutely delighted for the swimmers named in the Team Scotland squad for Glasgow this summer,” said Team Scotland Chef de Mission Eleanor Middlemiss.
“There is a great mix of experienced athletes and first timers to the game, which shows that we have a very talented team and real strength in the squad.
“It’s also wonderful to have so many of our Youth Games teams standardize and have the opportunity to use that experience at home games.
“I hope everyone makes the best of their preparations and look forward to seeing them in action in July.”
