This weekend, cinephiles around the world will be marching to their local theaters to enjoy Christopher Nolan’s new feature. The Odyssey. It’s the way to go they earn between $80–$100 million in just a few days. People are very happy to see how Nolan uses modern filmmaking techniques to make the Homeric classic new. But another director is trying to capitalize on the buzz around Nolan’s project to draw attention to his own Odysseus film.
Tuesday, movie studio Fountain 0 has announced that it is working on an AI-powered review The Odyssey head Odysseus: The Fallwhich will be available to rent or buy from the company’s digital store sometime this summer. The film comes from director Ash Koosha, who previously collaborated with the founders to produce it Violets dream – Docudrama created by AI of civil unrest and state violence which has shaken Iran between the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026 Violets dream – which only cost $2,000 to make – Odysseus: The FallA production budget is said to be a small portion of a movie that is already made. Koosha was able to write/direct/edit the film with a budget in the “mid-five figures,” which is nothing compared to $250 million that Nolan needs to shoot The Odyssey.
Odysseus: The Fall‘s trailer makes it clear what kind of “film” Koosha is cooking for Kling’s AI video maker and Google’s Nano Banana. Every shot seems short, and they all have it the brilliant beauty we associate with AI slop. The characters are based on real people – this Odysseus is based on Koosha’s character, and the director speaks for all the people – yet there is a strange stiffness in the way they move and speak that makes them feel completely AI.
What’s also clear is that Fountain 0 is trying to ride Nolan’s coattails to sell its AI services while selling what is essentially a direct knock on the movie that people want to see. Talking with MiscellaneousThe CEO of Fountain 0, Tom Rogers, said that their project is looking for people who “may not like to go to the cinema, but have a real interest in AI and what is happening.” This makes it Odysseus: The Fall sounds less like an honest interpretation of the filmmaker The Odyssey and more like a deep marketing of Fountain 0’s AI-forward production workflow.
“(W) I think, when our film is released, it will be a catalyst for many people who may not have seen Odyssey to go see it, to be able to compare the high level of human success in filmmaking, which I really hope that the reviews show that Nolan’s film is, and what the high level of technology is in the production of AI film today,” said Roger.
Rogers wasn’t saying exactly Odysseus: The Fall where will he be able to carry the candle The Odysseybut he was saying that the Fountain 0 projects represent the best “films” that the AI industry can make. Rogers may honestly believe that his company’s image is good, but when you look at it Violets dream – which plays out like a series of videos being analyzed – it’s hard to imagine the actors would agree with him.
To see the visual beauty is to learn the art of Nolan’s The Odyssey it makes you appreciate what it is because of the hundreds of people working together tirelessly to create the highest quality art. Fountain 0 has done a lot because Koosha and his brother Pooya have done a lot of work. Odysseus: The Fall themselves, but that’s not the kind of thing that gets people to buy movie tickets.
Like Spring 0, Particle6 has recently been announced its purpose is to set up a long video with an avatar. Both companies seem to think they can get into the right place before they become legitimate parts of the entertainment industry. But what they don’t seem to realize is the thing that keeps people interested in watching a movie like Nolan’s. The Odyssey and how it relates to the highly collaborative social practices of traditional filmmaking.
The empty praise and reciprocating hatred that The Odyssey has drawn both to speak to Nolan’s ability to create art that captures the audience’s attention. That strong sentiment is what drives movie news and gets people to buy movie tickets, keeping big studios like Universal in business. For all the promises that gen AI will revolutionize the entertainment industry, technical incentives did not produce a film or series which comes close to raising the level of excitement Nolan fans have The Odyssey. And they won’t if distractions like Fountain 0 are trying to pull are all they have to offer.
