Tomas Roncero, a well-known analyst of El Chiringuito and deputy editor of AS newspaper, nominated a surprise coach to lead Real Madrid next season.
Roncero believes Raul Gonzalez is the ideal choice to take over at Real Madrid given the current crisis the team is going through, noting that his legendary personality is enough to impose discipline in a dressing room that is witnessing rising tensions.
Madrid’s worries are no longer limited to what’s happening on the pitch, but recent weeks have revealed clashes between players, mirroring the tense situation in the dressing room, which began between Rudiger and Carraras, then Kylian Mbappe’s row with a member of the technical staff, before this week’s high-profile incident between Choumini and Valverde.
There has been talk in the corridors of the club about a possible radical change next season, with the name of Portuguese Jose Mourinho, who previously managed the team between 2010 and 2013, emerging as one of the strongest candidates to return to the bench in recent weeks.
During his appearance on the “El Bar de Sique” program, Tomas Roncero, known for his Madrid leanings, clearly spoke about the Portuguese coach, saying:All roads lead to Mourinho. This does not mean that the issue is final, because there are opposing voices in the club. People are realizing that he is not the Mourinho we knew 13 years ago. He doesn’t have the same vitality and that was evident in his work with Fenerbahce and Benfica.”
“I personally bet on Raul because nobody dares to mock him because his Champions League titles are more than many Real Madrid players. He is a legend at the club and has the necessary personality and if I were them I would give Raul a chance.
Roncero compared the current situation of Real Madrid to a delicate operation, stressing that the issue does not depend only on the diagnosis, but also on who made the change.
“We’re talking about a surgeon who already knows what surgery to do, who knows where to cut and where to put the scalpel, but we need to see who is the surgeon who will do it and be sure,” Roncero said. “It’s a very critical situation, very private, so to speak, shocking.”
“I think the best thing to do is to use Raul, which is to use someone who comes into the dressing room and makes everyone say, ‘Hey! “Be careful. This is an obvious legend. Be careful.
