The Iranian Football Federation has confidently canceled its participation in the 2026 World Cup finals in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.
The Iranian national team is in the seventh group of the world championship, next to Egypt, Belgium and New Zealand.
In the statement published by IRNA, the Iranian Federation says that it will definitely participate in the World Championship.
Iran’s football federation has confirmed that his participation in the World Cup is “firm and not open to interpretation” after he deservedly booked his place.
He emphasized that any attempt to exert external pressure will not prevent the Iranian national team from participating.
The Iranian Federation has also sent direct messages to the host countries, urging them to consider Iran’s concerns.
The statement concludes: “The real battle is inside the stadium and we caution against moving the conflict to other platforms.”
