Why a heartland councilor left Labour


In Barnsley, South Yorkshire, 50 years of Labor rule were brought to a close by Reform UK on Friday.

One said Labor had abandoned the working class as local voters said they wanted to see change.

For others, dislike of Keir Starmer was their primary motivation when casting their votes. BBC UK editor Ed Thomas reports from Barnsley.
