Brutal attack on United star
The famous British journalist and fanatical fan of “Arsenal” Piers Morgan made a fierce attack on the decision to reward the Portuguese. Bruno FernandezThe Manchester United star won the Sports Writers Association player of the season award, describing the issue as a “farce” given Declan Rice’s performance with the Gunners.

Morgan’s response came in support of a call by Telegraph journalist Sam Dean, who defended Declan Rice’s eligibility for the award. Dean said. “With all due respect to my sports writing colleagues, I am surprised that Bruno Fernandes has been chosen as player of the year over Declan Rice.”
“Rice has literally won more games this season (35 games) than Fernandez did in his first game (34 games). Morgan responded to this suggestion by saying: “Right… it’s a farce!”
