Judges rule DOGE used ChatGPT in a dumb and illegal way

After being transferred from DOGE to NEH, Justin Fox used keywords, which he called “Detection Codes,” to identify what he called the “Craziest Grants” and “Other Bad Grants.” The keywords were, among other words, “BIPOC (Black, Indian, People of Color),” “Minorities,” “Indigenous,” “Native,” “Native,” “Immigrant,” “LGBTQ,” “Homosexual,” and “Gay.” When Fox was asked if he would “r(a)n this list of words through all the grant explanations” he received from the NEH, he confirmed, “yes.” In this way, Fox created and used clear groups based on the protected form and used them as a means of withdrawing federal funds.
