Govee’s string lights are already on sale with 20 percent off

Although you can charge Govee’s first solar powered light via USB-C, it lasts up to 13 hours using a 6W panel combined with its integrated 4,800mAh battery, which needs a day of sunlight to fully charge. Each of the eight all-weather, IP67-rated LED bulbs has a light output of over 50 lumens, yet, unsurprisingly, Govee’s seasonal estimate assumes that you reduce the brightness to just 10 lumens. The more power, the shorter the battery life.

Like many of Govee’s color-changing bulbs, the company’s Solar String Lights can emit warm white light or one of 16 million different colors, which you can set using the Govee mobile app for Android and iOS. There, you will be able to choose from 100 preset images, adjust the lights and their brightness, or set them to react to any music that is playing in the background. I’ve always considered this last one a bit of a party trick, but hey, to each his own, right?
