Super League bottom giants Huddersfield have appointed Jim Lenihan as head coach after sacking Luke Robinson in March.

Robinson was sacked on 22 March after Huddersfield lost their first five Super League matches, with Liam Finn taking charge for a further five league matches.

Lenihan, who played 21 times as a player for Huddersfield in the 1999 season, most recently served as head coach of the Brisbane Tigers in Australia.
