The three-day Chester May Festival came to a dramatic close on Friday, headlined by a typically competitive Chester Cup.
Chester May goes on to post and lead a field of 17 runners for the meeting’s feature race. blinded by the light And Galileo Dame who locked horns for Sir Mark Prescott and Joseph O’Brien respectively.
Blindedbythelights comes here off an excellent prep run at Kempton in March but has finished second in the last four runs. Kempton’s second reads well and looks to have a favorable draw at stall 4.
Irish challenger Galileo Dame represented six Irish runners, three of whom were saddled by O’Brien, and had a nice preparation for it at Navan in March.

Derby hero Lambourn Return to Chester to face eight rivals in the Group Two Huxley Stakes, including fellow Group One winners Bay City Roller.
Lambourn won the Chester Vase this time last year and had a very good win at Epsom under a great front ride from Wayne Lordan.
