The man accused of attempting to assassinate Trump has been charged with assaulting a Secret Service officer

Court documents filed Tuesday charged Allen with attempting to assassinate the president of the United States and two counts of weapons offenses — transporting firearms and ammunition in interstate commerce to commit a felony and using, possessing, striking and discharging a firearm during the commission of a crime.
