After an absence since the Battle of Paris in 2006, Arsenal are once again knocking on the doors of European glory.

Atlético almost equalized early in the second half in the 51st minute, capitalizing on a major mistake by Saliba to win the ball back and Simeone shot past goalkeeper Raya before Gabriel intervened to make a brilliant save.
Atletico woke up and called for a penalty in the 56th minute after Calafiore fouled the ball. GriezmannHowever, the referee of the match committed a foul against “Arsenal”.
Arsenal almost killed off the match with a second goal in the 66th minute when Geikerich followed up Hincapie’s unique pass to fire a direct through ball that went over the bar.
Simeone’s substitutions failed to get his side back on track, so Arsenal won the match and returned to the Champions League final for the second time since losing 2–1 to Barcelona in Paris in 2006.
