Minimum 10 game ban for players found guilty of discrimination – FA

Players found guilty of discrimination face at least a 10-game ban for the new season under the Football Association’s tougher rules.

In previous seasons, there were six to 12 match bans for ‘aggravated offences’ under FA Rule E3.2, which involved offenses based on ethnic origin, colour, race, nationality, religion, sex, gender, sex reassignment, sexual orientation or disability.

The enhanced sanctions, which also apply to managers and individuals in technical areas, are part of the FA’s commitment to delivering a “bias-free game”.
