Luan-Dre recovered from a heavy clash on the Pretorius field to hit 64 as London Spirit beat MI London by seven wickets for their first win in the Hundred of the season.

The South African and James Coles ran into each other while chasing catches late in the first innings, as MI reached London 164-5.

Pretorius left the field after the incident but Spirit was fit to open the innings and hit three fours and seven sixes in his 28-ball innings, which began with a 63-run stand with Jonny Bairstow (23).

The 20-year-old added another 38 runs with Liam Livingstone (16) before being caught by Sherfan Rutherford off the bowling of Richard Gleeson.

James Rew (19) and Dewald Brevis (18 off 37) finished the job for Spirit, who won with 11 balls to spare.

MI London got off to a good start with a 91-run opening partnership between Will Jacks (65) and James Vince (26).

But the two openers and Nicholas Pooran fell in the space of eight balls as the home side moved to 100-3.

Jacks and Puran were both dismissed by Jamie Overton, who later removed Jason Roy (13) for figures of 3-30.

Rutherford accelerated for MI, scoring 41 off 19 balls that included four sixes, before being caught by Coles off Andrew Tye off the last ball of the innings.

After the Spirit claimed their first win in three games, they moved up to sixth above the Southern Braves and Birmingham Phoenix, while MI London finished fourth with two wins and two losses.
