Following his departure from Al-Ahli, the Saudi club are set to sign Riyad Mahrez on a free transfer

It looks like Riyad Mahrez won’t be away from the stadiums in Saudi Arabia for long as Al-Qadisiya entered the line of negotiations to include the Algerian star on a free transfer, just days after announcing his departure from Al Ahly.

the newspaper quotes “the eastQatar Airways reported on Algeria International that Al-Kadisiyah’s administration has opened Mahrez’s legal status to interest in the transfer market following the end of his three-year spell with Al-Raqi, preparing to make a formal offer if the financial circumstances of the deal permit.

The Eastern club’s management have made the former Greens captain one of their priorities in strengthening the right-wing position due to his vast experience and ability to make a difference, whether during his golden career in Europe with Leicester City and Manchester City, or at Al-Ahly in the Roshan League.

Mahrez’s future, 35, remains uncertain at this point as the player explores several pending offers and is expected to decide his next destination in the next few days as Al-Qadissia tries to use his free agent window to convince him of a new project.
