Al-Ahly way.. How does Al-Ittihad play two matches in one day?

The Tigers are excitingly approaching the end of their camp in Spain

Press reports have revealed the method that German coach Jens Wiesing, Al-Ittihad’s coach, will follow to hold two friendly matches in one day.

Al-Ittihad will face Spain’s Real Mallorca tomorrow afternoon, Thursday, before taking on compatriots Malaga later that evening to round off their friendlies at their away camp in Marbella, Spain.

He said Saudi Al-Riyadiya newspaper Al-Ittihad will play against Real Mallorca in the afternoon with substitutes before relying on the main players to face Malaga in the evening.

Algerian midfielder Houssem Ouar is expected to feature in one of the two matches, after he joined the camp recently following the end of his 2026 World Cup leave.

The duo of Muhannad Al-Shankeiti and George Ilyinichna will also feature after recovering from injury which saw them miss the last friendly against Las Palmas.

Al-Ittihad played two friendly matches in their Spanish camp which started in mid-July, the first beating South Africa’s Orlando Pirates 3-2 and the second beating Spain’s Las Palmas 2-1.

It is noteworthy that during their camp held in Austria, their neighbor and traditional rival Al-Ahly also played two friendly matches in one day. The former lost 0-2 to Portuguese side Portimonense as a substitute before being held to a 1-1 draw by England’s Fulham in the opener.
