Unauthorized parking near Stansted Airport will increase after notice

The BBC contacted Cheema and Abdul Rehman, the new director listed for SC Parking Limited, for comment but did not receive a response.

Uttlesford District Council said it was a complex issue with “various agencies involved”.

The spokesman said officers would review on-site monitoring and whether any new reports fell within the scope of the existing enforcement notice.

Essex Trading Standards said it had not received enough complaints to justify a formal investigation.

Travel Extra Deals Ltd, which owns a comparison site used by some parking customers, said it had issued a final warning to the operator and would stop issuing bookings if further complaints were received.

The company said it would review the unresolved issues, issue refunds where necessary and apologize on behalf of the operator.

The BBC sent the customer’s complaint to Park Pilot Ltd, the customer’s confirmation email to the company named as the service provider, and a letter to New Farm management, but none of them responded.

The Radisson Blu Hotel at Stansted Airport said it was aware of the concerns. “We would like to emphasize that the hotel has no commercial agreement or association with this company,” said general manager Dinesh Kunder.

Gareth Powell, managing director of Stansted Airport, urged customers to choose approved parking providers, check reviews and report concerns to Essex Trading Standards via the Citizens Advice consumer helpline.
