Apple’s new HomePad device could compete with Google and Amazon

Gurman says the device will also be able to change its display, including text and screen size, depending on who is looking at the display.

The rumored device is part of a big push for Apple’s smart home, which has previously relied heavily on third-party devices to compete in the space. But with its Siri addition in September, the company may feel like it’s ready to step up. Apple is said to be unveiling smart home displays in Spring 2025, but after the company delayed its AI-enhanced Siri, it made the launch coincide with the release of iOS 27 and Siri AI.
