ICE is under intense scrutiny, due to two murders in two states in recent weeks, and allegations of abuse in detention centers, which it denies. President Trump is moving forward with mass deportations, He campaigned on hard-nosed criminals – but enforcement looks very different. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency is the center of Donald Trump’s crackdown on undocumented immigrants. The agency is supported by billions of dollars in additional funding, as well as a recruitment campaign that has added 12,000 officers in the past year. But, it is facing new levels of scrutiny, with allegations that its agents are not properly vetted, or trained to follow up on shootings where the victims are NOT their targets.
