Manchester City reports that Rodri has undergone back surgery

The duration of the absence is uncertain

Manchester City confirmed on Tuesday that Rodri has undergone minor back surgery.

City explained via a statement on their official website that the midfielder had been unwell for some time but has now undergone surgery to resolve the problem and will begin a short rehabilitation period.

City have confirmed that the club will continue to provide updates on Rodri’s rehabilitation program via their official website and did not specify how long the Spanish star will be out of action.

It is noted that: Rodri has recently been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Barcelona Current Summer Mercato.

Rodri’s contract with Manchester City expires next summer, so he can sign a free contract with any club starting next January.
