Trabzonspor quickly and decisively put an end to a wide-ranging controversy in Turkey in recent hours after it was reported that the club had reached a preliminary agreement with Egyptian star Mohamed Salah.
The uproar came after reports claimed Trabzonspor had held talks with the Egyptian national team captain following the breakdown of his lengthy talks with arch-rivals Besiktas. However, Trabzonspor club president Ertuğrul Dogan hastened to deny everything that was reported in the statements of journalist Onur Tascioglu, stressing that all the allegations related to the contract with Mohamed Salah have nothing to do with reality.
Dogan categorically said. “Mohamed Salah transfer claims are untrue,” shutting the door on the rumor entirely.
