Lyle Robertson has received his first senior Scotland call-up for August’s ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 series against Canada and the United Arab Emirates.
Falklands’ Robertson is one of three changes to the squad that toured Nepal in May, with Zainullah Ihsan and Michael Jones also returning.
Meanwhile, Michael Lisk has been ruled out, while injured duo Brad Currie and Wayne Gould are unavailable.
“It’s great to welcome back Zainullah Ihsan and Michael Jones to the squad for this series,” said Scotland head coach Wayne Dawkins.
“Zainullah has shown great progress in training throughout the summer, in club cricket for GHK and with his performances in regional cricket with the Western Warriors.
“Michael has missed our previous two tours due to his Lancashire commitments, so it’s exciting to have a player of his quality back for the home series.
“We are delighted to award Lyle Robertson his first senior international call-up. As a young player he represented Scotland at the ICC Under-19 World Cup in the Caribbean and has shown steady improvement since then.”
The upcoming series will be the final CWCL2 match in Scotland, taking place at Forthill in Broughty Ferry.
The Scots are currently second in the table alongside the Netherlands and five points behind leaders USA.
