The Turkish club puts an end to the rumors
Turkish side Galatasaray have taken an unusual step in response to reports linking them with a deal for Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala in the current summer transfer window.
And I mentioned Mundo Deportivo newspaper The Spanish newspaper reports that several Turkish media outlets, led by Hurriyet, have reported that Musiala has been offered a loan move to Galatasaray and that talks between all parties have reached an advanced stage.
However, Galatasaray’s management was quick to deny the news with an official statement sent to journalists, which caused quite a stir, especially as the Turkish club had not previously commented on transfer market rumours.
“Galatasaray” stated in its statement. “The news that our club has reached an agreement with Gamal Musiala and Bayern Munich is not true, and it should be clarified before public opinion.
The report notes that the announcement has also raised eyebrows in Germany, where reports of Musiala’s move to Galatasaray have received no interest or credence in the German media.
Musiala is set to play the new season with Bayern Munich as it is confirmed that there is no intention on the part of the player or the club to end their relationship this summer.
The Germany star underwent surgery following his country’s penalty shootout exit from the 2026 World Cup round of 32 against Paraguay, where doctors removed a metal plate from his left leg, and he is now continuing his recovery in preparation for a return to action.
Mundo Deportivo added that the signing of Moroccan Ismail Saibari to Bayern Munich could increase the intensity of competition in the team, but it in no way indicates the imminent departure of Musiala, who remains one of the most important pillars of the Bavarian club’s sporting project.
So Galatasaray put an end to the rumours, insisting that there was nothing to do with a deal with Musiala, in one of the strangest statements of the summer transfer window, given the club’s rare comment on such rumours.
