Samsung’s 27-inch QD-OLED sports lighting for $299.99

The price of QD-OLED gaming monitors is falling, although many other PC devices are still higher than their normal prices. If your budget is capped at $300, Samsung’s 27-inch 1440p model it costs exactly because of the recent $50 discount Amazon. Finding a good QD-OLED monitor under $500 these days is easy, but under $300 is extremely rare. Its G50SF started at $499.99, but has spent the last six months hovering between $350 and $450.

Although being cheaper than Alienware’s amazing $350 AW2726DM and some of its competitors, the Samsung G50SF doesn’t make tons of compromises. It has a slimmer display, adjustable refresh rate support, and the same fast .03-millisecond response time we’ve come to expect from this range. It has a DisplayPort port plus HDMI 2.0 and a headphone jack (many competing monitors have two HDMI ports). Unless you’re desperate for a monitor with 240Hz or faster refresh rates, you won’t mind if this one goes up to 180Hz (via DisplayPort), or 144Hz via HDMI.
