Boy George has released a new song called We Will Dance Again, which highlights Israel’s military support for Palestine.
Recorded on X and Instagram with the Hebrew title עוד נרקוד along with its English translation, the song has a pop-reggae backing. The first words are: “You say genocide, I say war / When you’re attacked, that’s what an army does / Is it bad?”
Boy George mentioned it the Hamas attack on the Nova music festival in October 2023saying that the civilians who were killed there were “killed (killed) … for the crime of dancing”. 344 civilians and 34 security forces were killed and 44 people were captured.
The total number of Palestinian deaths since the war began more than 73,000.
The words We will dance again, repeated to the chorus of the song, have been used by Israel to express hope and unity after the 7 October attack, and have been used as the title of a popular documentary about it.
Elsewhere in the chorus, Boy George says with conviction: “There will be no war/ But if you’re confused/ I stand with the Jews/ I’m not brave, I just need to act like a man.”
He also criticizes the pro-Palestinian movement, including musicians who have criticized Israel: “You criticize the Jews, who have a memory of choice / Flag-carrying singers, talking like sheep / Lies spread by the Internet feel so weak.” Musicians who have contributed Palestine includes Stormzy, Damon Albarn, Clairo and Brian Eno, the latter of whom conceived the charity group, Lullaby, which fought for Christmas No 1 in 2025.
Young George, who is not Jewish, has recently said that he is helping Jews. In an interview with the Telegraph, discussing the admiration of his Jewish friends in the 1980s when he led the Culture Club, he said: “Over the years it’s been a personal thing. It doesn’t mean that I don’t have sympathy for the Palestinian people, it doesn’t mean that I agree with what’s happening in Israel, but I have people who always like to defend the Jews. Where I would turn.”
He later expressed his support a knife attack in Golders Green in April that left two Jewish men injuredthat: “We must let our Jews know that we are helping them.”
His new song shows his support for Israel, after previously saying he has no opinion on the country.

His presentation of Israel’s actions against Palestine as a legitimate military response rather than genocide. United Nations investigationwhich stated in 2025 that Israel has killed Palestinians in Gaza. Israel’s Foreign Ministry called the report “distorted and false”. Last month, another an independent UN investigation found that Israel continues to kill people by fighting against children. That report was called “false” by the Israelis.
Boy George was one of the most popular and popular artists of the 1980s, and Culture Club scored four UK Top 10 albums including the 1983 chart topper Color By Number. The most popular song is Do You Really Want Hurt Me? and Karma Chameleon, which were huge hits in the US and the UK, and have endured as oldies radio stations.
The band also had an anti-war hit, The War Song, which reached UK No 2 in 1984 and sang: “War is stupid and people are stupid / And love means nothing in some strange place.”
Last month, Boy George launched a new company called Artist Included, which will use AI to allow artists to create new classics that are similar to the originals, as a way to save the control of high-quality recordings. It was introduced by the new version of Karma Chameleon, which Boy George recorded later in his old age. “When I heard that, I was devastated,” she told the Hollywood Reporter. “It sounds like another part of the original episode.”
