Carly Simon explains her Parkinson’s diagnosis.


Simone said she decided to speak out about her diagnosis after receiving letters, saying, “I’m kind of wondering about my relative silence, asking how I’m doing and what I’m doing.”

Despite her health condition, the musician recently announced a new album – Comes In Waves – which will be released in August 2026.

The first single, Howl, was released last month. The singer finds him consoling a friend going through a divorce.

A press release said the album will see Simon revisit familiar themes such as “love, memory, family, self-esteem and forgiveness, contrasts, ambiguity and emotional evolution”.
