The third club without deals in Roshen. Al-Nasr is paying the price of presidential vacuum and huge debts.

Before the start of the new season, “Al Nasr” is experiencing one of its most sensitive periods. Between the administrative vacuum, financial pressures and stagnation in the transfer market, the Roshan League champions find themselves in a situation that does not reflect the aspirations of their fans, who were waiting to build on what was achieved last season.

According to the journalisttodaySaudi Arabia’s Al-Nasr became one of three clubs in the Saudi Roshan League not to make a deal during the current summer Mercato, along with Al-Hazm and Riyadh, despite being linked with a number of players in recent weeks.

Al-Alamy has been living in an administrative vacuum since its chairman Abdullah Al-Majed announced the official end of his tenure and his unwillingness to pursue a regular extension, opening the door to a new administration that will be required to discuss existing documents before the start of the season.

Al-Nasri’s crisis does not stop only on the administrative side, but extends to the great financial pressures caused by the accumulation of debts, which have directly reflected on its movements in the transfer market and forced it to postpone the deals in the final stage.

Although the club has approved Spanish midfielder Samo Costa to wear the Al-Nasr shirt, the deal has not yet been completed due to the current circumstances, while the administration has preferred to focus its efforts on internal affairs, especially the contract extension of Abdul Rahman Gharib.

At the technical level, the team begins a new phase under Australian coach Ange Postecoglou, who replaced Portugal’s Jorge Jesus after he led the team to regain the Rushen League title.

Despite Al-Nasr’s success in returning to the top of the table last season, defeat in the AFC Champions League final for the elite left the project feeling incomplete, raising the ceiling of fans’ demands for strong reinforcements that will boost the team’s chances in the continental competition next season.
