Australia’s Lucas Herbert swept to victory on the final day of the LIV UK event in Staffordshire.
The 30-year-old led the way at Rochester’s JCB Golf and Country Club and held a three-shot advantage over Bryson DeChambeau in the final round.
And the world No. 69 fired home the day’s round on Sunday – a 10-under 62 – to finish at 30-under overall.
Herbert won by six strokes from England’s Tyrell Hatton, who shot a 63, while American DeChambeau finished three shots back in third.
It was Herbert’s second LIV win of the year and his 30-under finish was the lowest in the tour’s five-year history.
Last week the Australian finished tied for sixth at the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, four shots behind winner Ryan Fox.
“I just wanted to take it the best I could this week,” Herbert said.
“It was nice to play like that today when two of the best players in the world pushed me.”
Hatton, K Previous LIV event wins in Andalusia, Added: “I wanted to get a quick start, which I did, but unfortunately so did Lucas.
“It would have been amazing to win in front of the home fans, but I gave my best. Lucas was incredible this week.”
