What is the story?
Paris Saint-Germain have officially abandoned their bid to sign Ivorian winger Yann Diomandy from German side Leipzig, leaving Real Madrid alone in negotiations, despite the latter adamantly denying any final or even preliminary agreement has been reached with the German club so far.
Sky Sport’s German correspondent Florian Plettenberg confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain consider Leipzig’s financial demands excessive.
“Paris Saint-Germain have withdrawn their interest and offer to sign Yann Diomande, as the requested salary is not commensurate with the club’s budget and principles. The management does not want to abandon the current financial system and maintain the balance of the team.”
🚨⤵️ And NOTHING has changed from what we reported earlier, except that PSG are now officially out of contention.
There is still NO agreement (or principle) between “RB Leipzig” and “Real”. This continues to confirm ALL parties involved in these seconds… https://t.co/mU6sEuD4I7

There is no agreement between Madrid and Leipzig
Plettenberg categorically denied media reports that “Real” had reached an agreement with Leipzig, stressing that all interested parties have assured him that there is no agreement, either official or tentative, at this time.
The German reporter clarified that the talks between the two sides will resume tomorrow, Monday, noting that some media are trying to publish the news first, even if the talks do not end in a feverish race.
Madrid are the most successful despite the lack of determination
Despite the lack of a formal agreement, Plettenberg confirmed that a move for Diomande to Real Madrid is still a possibility, especially after Paris Saint-Germain pulled out and Real remain the only rivals in the race, stating that Real have the best chance of completing a deal since yesterday, Saturday.
