After the financial crisis… Saudi Arabia’s victory destroys Cristiano Ronaldo’s men!

Administrative changes continue at Al-Nasr Saudi Club in an attempt to restructure the situation after the recent financial crisis that has plagued the club, which cast a shadow over various documents, both administrative and sporting, before the start of the new season.

Accumulated debts, estimated at approximately 800 million Saudi Riyals, imposed a new reality within the club as the priority became to resolve the financial situation, which was directly reflected in the management movements during the current summer transfer window.

Although Al-Nasr have reached an agreement with Spain’s Real Mallorca’s Portuguese Samo Costa, the deal is still undecided given the financial constraints facing the club, while the administration preferred to focus on internal affairs, the most important of which was the extension of Abdul Rahman Gharib’s contract before the start of the season.

As part of a cost-cutting and administrative restructuring plan, Al-Nasr’s administration decided to limit the financial powers of the current executive management, which includes Portuguese sporting director Simao Coutinho and contract director Jose Semedo, to control spending for the next phase.

Journalist Abdulaziz Al-Osaimi also revealed another decision within the club that dismissed Portuguese Luis Parafita from the board of directors and the Executive Committee, a move that attracted much attention among Al-Nasr fans.

The decision is of particular significance as Paravita was seen as Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo’s representative on Al Nasr’s board of directors, becoming the latest name to leave the scene as the club looks set to redraw its entire administrative structure, find a way out of a financial crisis and restore stability before the start of the season.
