A protest group said about 200 people demonstrated in Israel’s capital just a day after a series of attacks in the West Bank.

Israeli police arrested nine people at a Tel Aviv protest against violence by West Bank residents, according to media reports and protest organizers.

Hundreds of people gathered in Kaplan Street on Saturday to demonstrate against the violence of the settlers and the Israeli military rule in the occupied Palestinian territory, according to Israeli media. The demonstrations were organized by the left-wing Hadash party and its allies.

Protest group Mothers Against Violence said more than 200 people took part in the protest, and accused police of using force against the protesters, including nine confirmed arrests.

Israeli police said the protests continued without permission and had begun to “disrupt peace and block the road”, according to local media.

The protests took place a day after Israeli soldiers shot dead four Palestinians in the town of Tal, near Nablus, when the settlers entered their territory. Two Israelis were also killed in the conflict.

In retaliation for what happened on Friday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government ordered the West Bank military, and the Israeli army to take action. arrested about 50 Palestinians in Tal while destroying about 70 houses.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Organization said at least 80 Palestinians were arrested across the West Bank the next day, calling it a “collective punishment”.

The funeral of the four victims was held in the early hours of the morning in accordance with the curfew.

Political analyst Ori Goldberg said the video of Tal’s attack has caused Israeli resistance.
