The Saudi club “Al Hilal” has allocated a huge amount of money to acquire the German winger of “Bavaria” Munich Luis Diaz from Colombia in the current summer transfer period.
Al Hilal have Luis Diaz at the top of their interest list in this summer’s Mercato, after already managing to land West Ham United’s Dutch winger Crescencio Somerville, reports have confirmed.
Reliable journalist Sascha Tavoleri said that the current sporting director of Liverpool FC, Richard Hughes, who will lead Al Hilal after the end of the summer Mercato, is leading the negotiation process with Luis Diaz.
Tavoleri wrote on his personal account on the “X” website that “Al Hilal” has not yet held official talks with “Bayern Munich” because he wants to convince the Colombian winger first before starting talks with “Bayern”.
For this, “Leader” will offer the ex-Liverpool star an annual salary of 25 million euros to get his approval.
If he agrees, Al Hilal will immediately begin negotiations with Bayern Munich, where he will be offered between $120 million and $150 million to agree to complete the deal, which would make Diaz the most expensive player in Saudi League history.
The Colombian winger will surpass Brazilian Neymar da Silva, who was signed by Al Hilal from Paris Saint-Germain for €90 million in the summer of 2023, a figure that has not been broken so far.
Tavoleri noted that Al Hilal had a huge signing budget of $350 million in the current summer transfer window, meaning Diaz’s deal may not be the last if it goes through.
Notably, Al Hilal have signed 6 players so far in the current summer transfer window, most notably Dutch winger Crescencio Summerville, in addition to Mohammed Al Owais, Sabri Dali, Abdullah Al Anzi, Mohammed Al Sarnukh and Nawaf Al Habashi.
