July Full Moon: How and When to See the 2026 Book Moon

Based on current forecast models, there is a good chance of seeing a Buck Moon across much of the UK on the night of July 29 – particularly in the central, southern and eastern areas where skies are expected to be mostly clear.

Northern and western parts of the UK may see a bit more cloud at times, but not widespread cloud or prolonged rain.

Across England, there will be mostly clear skies after dark.

It will remain fairly mild with light winds and only a few clouds, so viewing conditions should be favorable.

For Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, the weather is expected to be slightly mixed, with variable cloud, the odd shower and some clear spells.

Scotland is likely to see the highest amount of cloud, particularly in western areas. Eastern and northern provinces will have a better chance of clear parties between any showers.
