Super League: Leigh Leopards 28-12 Warrington Wolves – Five wins on the spin for Leigh

Moments later, the contest was settled as Hanley scored a try that legendary father Ellery would have been proud of as a combination of strength, footwork and handling skills saw him outrun defenders in a tight space.

With their defense enjoying a battle, it set a good tone for the visit of neighbors Wigan Warriors on Friday (20:00).

Hoppoet’s effort came too late to make any difference for Warrington and they will need to regroup ahead of their trip to Castleford Tigers the following day to regain momentum in the play-off battle.
