Checkered flag: Juan Pablo Montoya demands punishment for F1 drivers not ‘respecting’ the sport

Speaking on The Checkered Flag podcast, former Formula 1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya called for heavier penalties, including fines or race bans, for drivers who disrespect the sport and the direction of the championship. Montoya’s comments follow Red Bull’s Max Verstappen’s public criticism of the 2026 F1 regulations.
