Summerville. My gut feeling is what led me to Al Hilal

High ambitions

Dutchman Crescencio Summerville, the latest signing from Al Hilal Saudi Arabia, has expressed his delight at joining Al-Zaim, stressing that his decision to move was not driven by other considerations, but by his feelings for the club’s sporting project and his desire to achieve a championship with one of Asia’s biggest clubs.

Yesterday, Friday, Al Hilal announced the official signing of Summerville from English side West Ham United on a four-season contract extension in a deal worth more than €70 million, making it one of the club’s biggest deals in recent years.

In his first appearance via the Al Hilal media centre, the Dutch winger confirmed that his goals have been clear from day one, stating that he is looking forward to contributing to the return of the Roshan League title and winning the Asian Championship, in addition to challenging for all possible titles.

“My aim is to make the fans happy by scoring goals and assists in every game and I always look forward to seeing them in the stands as they give the team a lot of motivation to win.”

Summerville also revealed the real reason he chose Al Hilal, stressing that his feeling for the club was the deciding factor in his decision.

He concluded. “When you know that a club like Al Hilal cares about you, you feel appreciated. My feeling is what led me to Al Hilal and I hope to achieve everything with this great squad.”
