The player preferred his former club to Al-Faisal
Polish Stal Milles player Saif Darwish is close to a return to the Jordanian league from Al-Hussein Gate, Irbid, in the current summer transfer window.
Darwish, who won the Jordanian league with Al-Hussein Irbid last season, is considered one of the most important talents in the current era of Jordanian football.
Darwish became the first Jordanian player to play professionally in Poland as the 23-year-old moved to Polish side Stal Milec on a free transfer last summer, but this season he was also loaned out to Stal Ryszów in the Polish First Division.
Kura has learned that Darwish has received offers from Polish clubs, in addition to two Jordanian offers from Al-Hussein Irbid and Al-Faisal, but the player has opted to return to his former club.
Darwish is expected to sign his transfer contracts with Al Hussain Irbid in the next few hours after finalizing the contract.
The player wants to return to the local league with the aim of attracting the attention of the new coach of the Jordanian national team, Badu Al-Zaki, in an attempt to participate in the final of the 2027 Asian Cup.
Darvish’s agent, Tadeo Martinez, said in a conversation with Kooora. “Saif’s first season in Europe was very special. He is a player with a unique energy on the pitch and I am sure he will soon become one of the best players in the Middle East.”
He added: “The owner of Stal Miletus has reached an agreement with one of the first-class clubs in Poland, but after encountering some problems and leaving the position, the deal can no longer be completed.”
He continued. “We also had other offers on the table, so we had to carefully evaluate Saif’s best option, especially in the year leading up to the Asia Cup.”
Martinez explained that returning to Jordan could be beneficial for the player, as it would allow him to play alongside potential Jordanian national team players and stay close to the national team atmosphere.
He continued. “I sat down with Saif and discussed what’s best for his future. Of course, as his agent, I care a lot about his career, and he considers me a big brother to him. But the final decision is always his decision.”
Martinez concluded his remarks by saying: “We received an offer from a rival club in Jordan that could hurt the feelings of Al-Hussein Irbid fans, but Darwish refused to make this decision out of respect for them.”
