Morocco’s rising star enters Porto’s agenda

The Portuguese club is looking to strengthen the right front

One of Morocco’s rising stars has become a target for a new experience in the Portuguese league after attracting the interest of Porto in the current summer transfer window, following his outstanding performances with his side last season.

The specified site “Championship” Al-Maghribi, citing Belgian press reports, say Porto are monitoring Anderlecht’s 21-year-old Moroccan youth right-back Ali Moamer in anticipation of the possibility of signing him. However, the Portuguese club has not yet made any official offer to Anderlecht, content to place the player on the list of names nominated to support the right front.

Anderlecht, on the other hand, are committed to keeping their player, especially in light of the team’s shortage at right-back following injuries to Kylian Sardella and Elias Kamara, making Muammar one of the main pillars of the technical staff’s calculations.

Moammar is a member of Anderlecht’s academy and has so far made 54 first-team appearances since making his debut on 12 January 2025 against Club Brugge in the Belgian league.

Muamar was also a member of the youth team of Morocco, which won the last world championship in Chile last year.
