Former player of “Real” I will never forget Mourinho’s abusive words in the dressing room

Borja Mayoral has opened fire on his former coach Jose Mourinho, stressing that the Portuguese did not accept the loss and that he made inappropriate statements in the dressing room that did not please him and his teammates.

The statements of the current striker of “Getafe” were made in an interview with the newspaper.Brand:in Spanish, where he recalled his memories of Mourinho’s time at Real Madrid.

Despite his young age, Mayoral had the opportunity to train under the likes of Zinedine Zidane and Jose Mourinho, and he confirmed that he learned a lot from the Portuguese coach, but did not hide his anger at some of his behaviour.

Mayoral said: “What I liked most about Mourinho was his training. They were very competitive and fun, and even though my situation wasn’t ideal, I enjoyed working with him.”

“Time passed, he also surprised me. Through his conversations with me and what he said before some meetings, I felt his appreciation for my work. I remember he once told me that I deserved to play early, and he praised me a lot in one of the press conferences. I’ll never forget it.”

He continued. “He was very friendly and would talk a lot to Spaniards like Gonzalo Villar and Carles Perez about his time at Real Madrid, and because I’m inquisitive by nature, I took the opportunity to ask him a lot about that period.

On the downside, Mayoral concluded: “What annoys me the most about Mourinho is his inability to accept defeat. He made bad statements in the locker room that I didn’t like. They were directed not only at me, but also at my teammates. I understand that he is a very competitive person and that we can all say things in a moment of anger, but respect should always come first.”
